Meet James Mock: SGBC Market President Turner and Worth Counties
James Mock, a native of Tift County was recently promoted to Market President of Turner and Worth Counties with South Georgia Banking Company.
Mock previously worked with SGBC as the Regional Ag Lender and has been in the banking industry for 18 years.
“We are excited to have James in this new role, serving over the Turner and Worth County markets,” said Sam McCard, Bank President for South Georgia Banking Company. “He has done a great job with us in working with our local farmers and agribusinesses, and we are so excited for the leadership and community focus we know he will bring to this new role.”
Mock attended school at Georgia Southern University receiving his degree in Finance. Before working with South Georgia Banking Company, Mock worked at Ameris Bank.
In addition to his work with SGBC, Mock is also very involved in his community, working with First Baptist Church, Tiftarea YMCA, and the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence. When not working, Mock enjoys spending time with his wife Liz and children Shively and Hollyn. He also enjoys working outdoors on the farm and playing and coaching ball with his children.
