Personal Finance and Economics Classes Visit SGBC Ashburn
On October 1st, Mrs. Guess’ Personal Finance and Economics classes had a fantastic opportunity to visit South Georgia Banking Company in Ashburn! Branch Manager Brad Christian welcomed the students and shared some insights about banking basics and the serious impacts of identity theft.
The visit kicked off with a hands-on lesson in how to complete a deposit slip and write a check, for many students, it was their very first time! Brad walked them through each step, explaining what every line on a check means. He also shared valuable advice about digital payment platforms like Cash App, Apple Pay, and PayPal, helping students understand the pros and cons of each.
From credit scores to interest rates, the students had great discussions and asked thoughtful questions. It was a day full of learning and real-world knowledge!
